We are excited to announce the 2025 Radcliffe School Talent Show!

The Talent Show will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Nutley High School.  There will be a FULL dress rehearsal on Wednesday April 23rd at Nutley High School.  All acts must attend the dress rehearsal.  The show will consist of two acts with a 20 to 30 minute intermission, where snacks will be available for purchase benefiting the classes of 2026.  Typically, the first act features the younger grades, and the second act features the older grades, but this is subject to change.

This year, registration will be done completely digitally.  Prior to submitting the registration form, anyone interested in participating in the talent show should decide if they are performing as an individual, or in a group.   Then they should decide on a name for their act.  It can be the child’s name, the name of the song, a creative group name, etc.  The parent/guardian of each participant  will need to register their child individually.  Please make sure you know the name of your act before you fill out the registration form.   After registration is closed, we will review the names of the participants with the Primary Chaperones to make sure all students are registered with the correct group.

If anyone needs help filling out the form, please send a note through the backpack labeled “Radcliffe School Talent Show.”  Include your contact information, and one of us will get in touch with you to help.  Or you can email us at radcliffeptotalentshow@gmail.com.

Talent Show Guidelines

General Information:

  • All types of individual and group performances are welcome, including singing, dancing, playing an instrument, juggling, comedy, magic, skits, etc. Use your imagination, be creative and have fun!

  • To keep the length of the show reasonable and enjoyable for the audience, all performances have a maximum time limit of 2 minutes (THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE 6TH GRADE FINALE).

  • Participants may only appear in one performance (6th graders may also appear in the 6th Grade Finale). All performers must be current Radcliffe students. If you are a 6th grader who doesn’t want to perform but would like to participate, you can volunteer to help seat guests, hand out programs, or help with other related duties on show night.

  • After students perform they will go back to their assigned waiting room with their chaperone.  Additional information regarding performers will be provided after registration is complete.

  •  All lyrics, content, costumes, and props must be appropriate for elementary school students.
  • Glitter is not allowed anywhere at Nutley High School, so please do not include any glitter on your costumes, props, or anything else you may have with you.

  • Please keep in mind that in order to avoid having multiple acts perform the same song, chaperones may be notified that your song selection was already chosen by another act. This will be determined on a first come, first served basis.

  • The lead chaperone of each act will be responsible for turning in the music when they register for the talent show.  Songs must be submitted as an MP3 or MP4 file.  The naming convention for music should be “Name of the Song_Name of the Act” (for example: Good Feelings_Sixth Grade Finale.mp3).   All music MUST be approved by Mr. Kearney.  Once submitted, the talent show committee will send the music to Mr. Kearney for his approval.  He will notify us if anything needs to change, and we will contact the primary chaperone.

  • Please note that recorded music will be checked to ensure that it meets the time limits. If music exceeds 2 minutes for any act, it will be sent back to the sender for re-editing. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • All acts must report to their assigned room at Nutley High School in order to perform in the show.  All performers in Act 1 must be in their rooms by the start of the show.  All performers in Act 2 must be in their room before the start of Act 2.  Performers will only be allowed in their assigned room.  The primary chaperone will be responsible for signing the students into their room and releasing them to their parents.  Performers will be returning to their assigned room after their performance.  In order to minimize disruption, we ask that you limit moving around the auditorium, and only exit and enter in between acts.

  • For the safety of our students, parents and guests, EVERYONE must sit in assigned seats.  We will not tolerate any chaotic or loud behavior.  We want to maintain a respectful and supportive environment for our performers.

Chaperone Guidelines:

  • Each act will need a Primary Chaperone.  This is the person who will coordinate the act.  They will be responsible for naming the act, turning in the music for the act, communicating with the talent show committee, choosing a dress rehearsal time, supervising the students before and after they perform, and various other tasks associated with the talent show.

  • All groups must have chaperones in the ratio of one chaperone for every four performers.

  • When you register as a Primary Chaperone, you agree that all performers in your group have the permission of their parents/guardians to be a part of your act.  As the Primary Chaperone, you will be the point person for your act, and you will take responsibility for your act.  Before students join your act, please make sure their parents have read and agree to comply with the aforementioned guidelines and understand that if they do not, their child’s ability to participate in future talent shows may be compromised.

  • If a chaperone cannot make the performance, a back-up must be filled or your group may be in jeopardy of not performing.

  • A chaperone can ONLY chaperone one group.

  • Chaperones must be 18 years or older.

  • Chaperones are responsible for making sure that all students are accounted for and that they are behaving in an appropriate manner.

  • Chaperones will remain with their act until all performers have been picked up by their parents/guardians.

  • Seats in the front row of the auditorium will be reserved for chaperones so they can watch their act perform.

  • After their group’s performance, chaperones must return to their group and continue their duties.
